Aquaman star Willem Dafoe surfaces on the Gold Coast

WILLEM Dafoe is on the Gold Coast to film his role as Aquaman’s (Jason Momoa) loyal servant Nuidis Vulkor in the DC superhero blockbuster, currently in production at Village Roadshow Studios.

AQUAMAN star Willem Dafoe has surfaced on the Gold Coast.

The Hollywood favourite, who played Jesus in The Last Temptation of Christ, was photographed running errands in Broadbeach this week.

The clean-living yoga devotee plays Aquaman’s (Jason Momoa) loyal servant Nuidis Vulkor in the DC superhero blockbuster, currently in production on the Gold Coast.

MEET THE SUBMARINE RIDING VILLAIN OUT TO SINK AQUAMAN

Dafoe, 61, has previously starred in another hit comic superhero franchise — he played the villainous Marvel character Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies.

“I don’t think people want to see me as a regular guy; besides, I’m a regular guy in real life,” he says.

“I guess I just want to be reckless in my work.”

Dafoe was also spotted out and about on the weekend, calling in to the Miami Organic Farmers’ Markets to buy some Epsom salts.
