TOP OP scores for Gold Coast students continue to roll in as more schools share their stunning results.

An Overall Position is measured between a top score of 1 to 25 and is used to determine entry into university.

Hillcrest Christian College principal Jeff Davis who shared the marks online said the Reedy Creek class of 2019 received marks equal to or better than their previous highest performance.

“I am thrilled to announce that Hillcrest Christian College students achieved some outstanding results and that we as a college community can be truly thrilled with their achievements,” Mr Davis said.

Of those eligible for the assessment, 20 per cent received an OP between 1-3.

More than 70 per cent of students received an OP between 1 and 10.

Marks on the statewide Queensland Core Skills test (QCS) improved by over 10 points from last year to 183, well above the state average of 175.

“These results are especially pleasing given that our final OP cohort had just over 50 students completing the final year of the OP program,” Mr Davis said.

“On behalf of the College community I congratulate all Year 12 students for their achievements this year. We are proud of your academic achievements, but also proud of the people you have become.

“We pray for every success in your future. I would like to also thank the administration team and staff of the SLC. Their commitment to our students is exceptional and they have worked very hard this year to maximise student learning outcomes,” he said.

Saint Stephen’s College in Coomera also celebrated similar outstanding marks.

Nearly 65 per cent of students received an OP 1 to 10 and nearly 90 per cent of our students received an OP of 1 to 15.

Nine students of the 2019 Saint Stephen’s cohort will enter university with a score equal to an OP 1.
