A CITY football club is back in action but its boss is fuming at one-size fits all restrictions.
Players continue to train at Carrara’s Magic United Football Club but with no canteen and some members pulling out, they worry about survival.
Magic United and Gold Coast Knights Football Clubs president Adem Poric said: “Kids are enjoying training but restrictions beyond the field are impossible. If community clubs don’t have canteens, they are going to go broke.

“With referee fees we pay up to $20,000 and can’t pull that out of thin air. It’s going to take us at least 12 months to recover from COVID-19.
“Stage 2 and Stage 3 restrictions are a financial kick in the guts. We need compensation like other industries.”
Mr Poric said one set of restrictions for all codes was “ridiculous”
“Government are out of touch,” he said. “Working out what is appropriate requires common sense. We are looking at filling stadiums for sporting matches, why not community clubs.”
