Gold Coast power couple Brett and Rebecca Frizelle revealed as new owner of Main Beach mansion

A Gold Coast power couple has emerged as the new owner of one of the last beachfront homes in Main Beach.

POWER couple Brett and Rebecca Frizelle have emerged as the buyer of an oceanfront mansion in Main Beach once owned by former Hawthorn AFL player and aerobic fitness pioneer Brendan Edwards.

The identity of the buyer of 3573 Main Beach Pde has been a closely guarded secret since the home – the Gold Coast’s most northerly absolute beachfront house – sold this year.

It is not known what plans Mr and Mrs Frizelle have for the property.

Mr Edwards built the two-level home, which spans two levels and sits on a 458sq m site, in the 1970s.

In 1980 it was opened as a home for a Club Pacific holiday health retreat with 10 ensuite bedrooms, bunkroom, basement gym, sauna, and surf-jet massager.

Its sale marks the end of an era for the family of the late Bruce Small who made his mark on Couran Point on South Stradbroke Island.

His widow Margaret Small is the seller.

The property was bought by the Smalls from Mr Edwards.

The Smalls acquired it in 1987 and turned the property into a family home.

Mrs Frizelle is the chief operating officer of Frizelle Automotive Prestige and a key shareholder in Frizelle Sunshine Automotive. She is also co-owner of the Gold Coast Titans.

Mr Frizelle is CEO of Frizelle Sunshine.
