BIASIN BUYS AGAIN IN PALAZZO VERSACE
MARIO Biasin, the founder of the nation’s largest home-builder, Metricon, appears to have taken quite shine to the condominiums at Palazzo Versace.
Property sources say he’s the fellow who in January bought a mid-level penthouse from car buff John Edwards for $6.25 million and that he’s since spent $1.4 million on an adjoining two-bedroom condo.

CHEVRON ISLAND HAS NEW AURA
AURA Holdings, a Brisbane group making its Gold Coast retirement-village debut with twin 10-level towers at Kirra, is believed to have been doing homework on a Chevron Island site.
The five-year-old Aura, which has Singaporean funding, is eyeing land owned by the Citimark group and approved for a 23-floor tower.
Aura previously looked at a Main Beach site but never got to the contract stage — owner the Winten group has opted to build a tower called Belvedere on the land.
EASTMENT EXITS SEA APARTMENT
GREG Eastment, a car dealer who’s paid a Gold Coast record $20,000-plus a square metre for a beachfront site at Main Beach, is cashing in some chips a few doors away.
A ground-floor apartment that cost $3.5 million, one of two bought in the Eastment name when the SEA building was completed in 2018, is on the market at an undisclosed price.
Greg’s amalgamated the nearby Four Corners low-rise and plans a 17-level building with a three-level penthouse.
