BRETT Frizelle, motor dealer, has many millions of reasons to smile in the wake of Frizelle Sunshine Automotive’s owner listing on the stock exchange last week.
The 55-year-old Brett is the sole owner of Wildash (Qld), a discretionary trust company which was holding around 6.6 million shares when Peter Warren Automotive Holdings made it on to the ASX on Wednesday.
Those shares, the bulk of which are in escrow and can’t be sold until February, were worth $23 million by week’s end.
MAKRIS LISTS PENTHOUSE
CON Makris, owner of the Marina Mirage retail centre and a boatie, quietly has slipped his penthouse at Palazzo Versace on to the market.
The South Australian billionaire bought the mid-level property, at one time owned by fellow billionaire Clive Palmer, from management-rights industry veteran Frank Picone a couple of years back for $4.5 million.
The penthouse has appeared on a property website, with agent and Versace condo dweller Duncan Longmore seeking expressions of interest.
BIASIN JR HEADS TO BURLEIGH
JASON Biasin, who for 15 years has been running the Queensland operations of Australia’s king of home-building, Metricon, has signed up for a taste of Burleigh beach life.
The son of Metricon founder Mario Biasin is buying a high-floor apartment in the Chris Vitale-developed Mondrian project on The Esplanade.
Family-man Jason, who calls Ashmore home, is believed to be paying around $5 million in a tower in which the top price is $11.7 million.
