AN AGEING three-storey unit building with million-dollar views of Burleigh Heads beach will be demolished to make way for a new residential tower.
Brisbane-based developer David Calvisi’s Forme has unveiled plans for its third Burleigh project in the past year.
The man behind two of the suburb’s high-end luxury towers this time wants to build an 18-storey medium-rise earmarked for a 1012sq m site on The Esplanade.
The project, which will replace a unit block built in 1980, will have 30 units, which will be a mixture of two and four bedrooms, with 69 car spaces provided in its basement.

It is being pitched to council as “a contemporary and elegant high-rise tower inspired by the ripples in the ocean”.
It will be close to the light rail stage 3 route as well as the new Natura development which is under construction on a neighbouring Esplanade site.
Forme is a major investor in Burleigh, building a pair of luxury towers on neighbouring Goodwin Terrace sites - Luna and Norfolk - which replaced the Fish House restaurant.
