THE developer behind a giant $120m, two-tower retirement village have revamped their plans for the project
Experienced healthcare provider Bolton Clarke is behind the Southport development, which will now be made up of towers ranging from 19 storeys to 30 storeys.
The company last week filed a revised development application increasing the size of the larger southern tower from 26 to 30 storeys which will allow for 10 extra units to be built.
Bolton Clarke said construction would begin in early 2022 on the development, which will be part of the $500m Queen Street Village precinct on the old Gold Coast Hospital site.
The shopping centre section of the project is on track to open in February, with builders rapidly working to complete its cinema and IGA supermarket.
