TONY Quinn, a dogged businessman who’s gone from petfood to chocolates and now jerky, has follow-ed up a record $17.7 million house buy at Sanctuary Cove with a rapid sale at Paradise Waters. His Admiralty Drive home, bought in 2019 for a whisker under $8 million, has sold without market-ing for north of $10 million. Tony, who in October added the Queensland raceway to his stable of three Kiwi motor-racing circuits, has a 20-car garage in his new Cove abode.
MICK Power, an old-timer in the construction game, has bought back into Surfers Paradise’s Garfield Tce on the heels of selling two beachfront sites there for $48.6 million. He and wife Denise have snaffled a $1.95m sixth-floor apart-ment in boutique building Ultima, on the ‘dry’ side of Garfield. It provides a holi-day home for the Brisbane couple and grandkids who are nippers at the North-cliffe surf club, sponsored by Powers’ BMD group.
