Alder Developments commence work on Gold Coast M1 Connect Business Hub

A $30m commercial project on the Gold Coast has been sparked by demand for premium office space.

DEMAND for premium office space has sparked construction of a $30m commercial project at Helensvale.

Alder Developments has commenced work on its M1 Connect Business Hub on Siganto Drive at Helensvale, alongside the busy motorway.

CBRE senior director Tania Moore said M1 Connect would meet the current market’s high demand for quality office space accompanied by a high level of social amenity in a coveted location.

“M1 Connect, being a new building with an activated foyer complete with a cafe, end of trip amenities, secure parking, and an outdoor recreation area adds a level of social amenity that corporations have come to expect,” she said.

“People are seeking employment opportunities that enable them to work close to home, preferably within a 10-minute radius.

“This is a shift from the traditional high-density office locations such as CBDs towards office locations positioned near high population growth areas supported by high levels of infrastructure.”

Alder Developments general manager Greg Tupicoff said the hub would offer flexible spaces and collaborative meeting areas.

Alder Development purchased the 4180sq m site for $3.4m in 2019. The Alder Group’s $8.5 million headquarters, ‘Alder Place’, also occupies a prime position on Siganto Dr next door.
