Mosman swim teacher Kyle Daniels is about to face a jury as a five week trial for alleged sex crimes against children kicks off in Sydney.
Daniels, who turned 22 last week, has pleaded not guilty to two dozen charges after police accused him of sexually assaulting multiple young girls when he coached them at Mosman Swim Centre from mid-2018 to early 2019.
Police previously told the court some of Daniels’ alleged victims would give evidence in prerecorded hearings and be comforted by holding a treasured toy.
The former Knox Grammar School student sat silently in court on Monday as Judge Kara Shead heard the trial would run for five weeks beginning next week in Sydney‘s Downing Centre District Court.
Daniels remains on $100,000 strict conditional bail and is believed to be living with his parents in their $2.3 million home on the north shore.
