Sydney CBD assault: Police appeal for witnesses after group attack
A man is in a serious condition after a vicious random assault by a group of six men early this morning in Sydney’s CBD. Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Police have launched an appeal after a man was seriously assaulted by a group of men in a random attack in Sydney’s CBD.
The 29-year-old man was walking along Pitt Street about 2.20am this morning, when he was confronted by a group of up to six men who were seen kicking the man on the ground.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene, where they found the man with cuts to his right arm, an injury to his head and lacerations to his legs.
He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
An investigation into the incident has been established police are appealing for anyone with information about the circumstances leading up to the man’s assault – or those responsible – to contact police or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
