Two men have been stabbed after a wild brawl erupted outside a Kmart store in Sydney’s west on Tuesday evening.

The violence broke out about 5.15pm as two opposing groups, containing teens and young men, appeared to attack each other outside the Mt Druitt store.

The Daily Telegraph understands that as kicks and punches flew, weapons were also produced, resulting in a teenager being knifed and a man in his 20s being stabbed multiple times.

In a statement, police said they had been called to the 24-hour shopping complex on Carlisle Ave following reports of an assault.

“Police were told a group of males, who are believed to be known to one other, were engaged in a brawl outside the centre before two people were stabbed,” the statement read.

“A man, aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for multiple stab wounds to his upper body before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

“A second man, believed to be aged in his late teens, was treated for a slash wound to his hand and face and taken to hospital in a stable condition.

“A 20-year-old man was treated for minor injuries and did not require further treatment.”

Police said officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command had established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the incident.
