A fifteen-year-old girl caught on video viciously attacking two other young females in an eastern suburbs park has been tracked down and cautioned.
Police were called to Coogee Bay Park last Friday afternoon after reports of a fight between a group of young women was taking place but by the time they arrived those involved had left.
But the confrontation was caught on a mobile phone camera with a number of young men watching on and yelling out repeatedly “Hit her!”
In the footage a girl in a black bikini is seen standing over and three other young women who appear to be just sitting around sunbathing when she approaches them.
She then unleashes a torrent of abuse before launching into a physical attack punching one of the girls on the ground and then viciously dragging her by the hair.
As she continues the attack for over a minute her friends try to intervene but not before the teenager kicks her hapless victim in the head.
"Police have spoken to a number of youths involved in an incident that took place last Friday at Coogee oval,'' police said in a statement released today.
"Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports a teenage girl had assaulted two other girls.
The group dispersed before police arrived,'' the statement said.
The teenage girl attended Maroubra Police station yesterday afternoon where she was spoken to by a Youth liaison officer and will be cautioned about her behaviour.
It is believed the girl claimed that she was the subject of rumours being spread about her by other teenagers in the area.
The Telegraph understands it is the first time the youth has come to police attention saving her from potentially being charged.
A parent who provided the video to The Daily Telegraph said he was sickened by what he saw.
”The boys egging her on are also gutless wonders and really are just as bad as her,‘’ he said.
