Man dies after getting trapped under campervan in Illawarra

A man believed to be in his 40s has died after he was trapped under a campervan south of Sydney.

A man has died after he was trapped under a campervan in the Illawarra.

Emergency services were called to Bong Bond Rd in Huntley, west of Dapto, about 12.30pm on Sunday.

Despite the best efforts of first responders, the man, believed to be in his 40s, died at the scene.

Police have begun an investigation and established a crime scene, which is to be examined by specialist officers.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
