A Penrith woman has been charged over the theft of a Krispy Kreme van and 10,000 doughnuts.
Bianca Ann Dennis, 28, allegedly jumped inside the van which was parked, but unlocked, at a petrol station in Carlingford, last month.
Police allege that while the truck driver was inside paying for petrol, Dennis drove off in the vehicle, which was laden with 10,000 doughnuts headed for stores in Newcastle.
The doughnuts and the truck were found last Friday, dumped in a carpark in Parramatta.
Dennis was arrested at St Mary’s train station on Thursday morning and taken to a nearby police station for questioning over the doughnut heist.
The Penrith woman was charged with take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period and travel or attempt travel without valid ticket.
She was refused bail and expected to face Penrith Local Court on Friday.
