William Tyrrell’s sister has been removed from the care of her parents.
It remains to be seen whether that move will be temporary or permanent for the girl, now aged 11.
“The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is unable to comment on individual child protection matters,” a DCJ spokesperson told The Daily Telegraph.
William had been with his sister at their foster grandmother’s house in Kendall just moments before he went missing on September 12, 2014.
They had been playing a game called “tigers” on the lawn before he disappeared.
