‘What the f***?’: Western Sydney home invasion streamed on TikTok

A Western Sydney man was smashed to the ground unconscious after balaclava-clad assailants entered his granny flat in Villawood, while the terrifying event was streamed live online.

A violent home invasion in Sydney’s west was inadvertently live streamed on TikTok over the weekend.

The ordeal erupted when two men clad in balaclavas knocked on the door of a granny flat on Koonoona Ave in Villawood about 11.30pm on Saturday night.

A 33-year-old man answered the door and was punched in the face before falling to the ground unconscious.

The balaclava wearing men stormed the granny flat and threatened a woman with a gun.

The man was live streaming when they stormed the home and footage purportedly of the incident on TikTok, a male voice can be heard saying “Where is the safe?” and “Where is the money”.

A distressed voice replies “I don’t know” and calls out for a person named Wally.

Meanwhile, another TikTok user with the username “cantfightfate14” posted the video which shows another man remotely watching the home invasion unfold.

“What the f*** is going on?” he said numerous times.

NSW Police on Sunday said the two men stole some clothes and cash and fled from the scene.

Police said the man had been live streaming on a social media platform at the time and that is how they were alerted to the crime unfolding.

The granny flat has been forensically examined.
