Two more men have been charged over the kidnapping of retired Australian Test cricketer Stuart MacGill.

Blacktown man Vaeluagaomatagy Feilo, 19, and 22-year-old Rouse Hill man Elijah Schaaf were arrested by NSW Police at Parramatta Police Station on Monday in relation to the April 14 abduction of the champion spin bowler.

The pair - who were already being held on remand behind bars at Silverwater Correctional Centre for an unrelated matter - were both charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage, occasion actual bodily harm and participate in a criminal group.

Their arrests came after raids were carried out at homes in Blacktown and Rouse Hill last Friday, during which police found several items relevant to their investigation, including a mobile phone.

MacGill, 50, was allegedly grabbed and stuffed into a van at Cremorne, on Sydney’s lower north shore, taken to a derelict farmhouse, stripped naked and threatened with a gun, before being released.

Police allege MacGill had unwittingly found himself at the centre of a $2 million drug deal between two groups.

When the deal fell through MacGill became a target for extortion and was allegedly kidnapped.

He last week told Nine’s A Current Affair he was still haunted by the incident, which he did not report for almost a week out of fear.

“I’ve thought about it probably 20 hours a day since,” MacGill said.

“I was in a situation that’s foreign to me and I was physically and mentally intimidated.

“I’ve thought maybe I could’ve done something different but then I probably wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you.”

The two latest arrests come less than a week after police released CCTV footage showing the two men entering a Bunnings Warehouse as part of an appeal for information.

At Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday, Schaaf and Feilo’s lawyer, Laith Abu-Ali, sought an adjournment. Bail was not applied for and refused. The matter will return to Downing Centre Local Court on August 26.

Their arrests take the total number of people charged over MacGill‘s kidnapping to six, with four men - including his girlfriend Maria O’Meagher’s brother Marino Sotiropoulos - arrested on May 5.

Court documents have revealed that at the centre of the alleged drug deal MacGill was caught up in was an elusive dealer known as “Sonny”.

MacGill had met the mystery man through working at Aristotle’s restaurant in Neutral Bay which his girlfriend Ms O’Meagher owned.

A statement made to police by MacGill says he introduced “Sonny” to Sotiropoulos, but there is no suggestion he was involved in the alleged drug deal and he will not be charged.

NSW Police are continuing their investigations into the identity of “Sonny” who was last seen driving a white Toyota Camry with a rideshare sticker on the back window.

He is described as being aged between 25 and 35, and of Middle Eastern appearance, with a solid build, short dark hair and a red/brown beard.
