Strike Force Lisburn was launched by Blacktown Police Area Command after a business on Aldgate St in Prospect, was severely damaged by fire between 8.30pm on December 24 and 4pm on December 25.
A crime scene was established, and detectives commenced inquiries into the cause of the blaze.
Following extensive investigations, strike force officers, with assistance from the North West Metropolitan Operational Support Group, executed search warrants at a Blacktown home and a business on Aldgate St.
During the searches, police seized large quantities of illicit tobacco, nunchaku, three slingshots and five batons.
A 49-year-old woman and two men, aged 29 and 53, were arrested at the Blacktown property and taken to Blacktown Police Station.
The 53-year-old man was charged with arson-related offences and participating in a criminal group.
He was refused bail and remains in custody.
The woman and younger man were charged with concealing a serious indictable offence, with the woman also accused of failing to disclose a driver’s identity.
Both were granted conditional bail and will appear in Blacktown Local Court on March 13.
