A TikTok star once pictured with senior members of the Alameddine crime clan was kidnapped from his Sydney home and held for more than 24 hours over the weekend.

Jacob Najjar, 36, was badly beaten and stabbed, before being dumped by the side of the road, after being dragged from his home at a unit complex on Grazier St in Auburn about midnight on Saturday, and forced into a car.

Mr Najjar, who owns the Thirsty Monkey cafe chain, was then taken to an unknown address where it’s believed he was assaulted.

About 11pm the following evening he was found dumped on Lower Washington Dr in Bonnet Bay.

Locals who saw the injured man called triple-0 before police located him badly beaten and with superficial stab wounds, and took him to Sutherland Hospital in a stable condition.

Police said they have no idea of the motive behind the kidnapping.

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing on Mr Najjar’s part and may have been targeted because of his successful business, with cafes in Parramatta, Wentworth Point and Marrickville.
