A man has escaped injury after he was shot at multiple times outside his home in Sydney’s north, with police now hunting for the gunmen involved.
Emergency services were called to Wilga Place, Marsfield around 1am, following reports a gunman had fired several shots at a 28-year-old man as he walked up his driveway.
The man managed to escape without injury, while the gunmen ran to a waiting black car and sped off.
Police found that some of the shots had struck a home behind the man, travelling as far as a kilometre and breaking a window at another home on Ruse St, North Ryde.
Police believe that both homes were struck in the single shooting incident, but do not appear to have been targeted intentionally.
Less than 30 minutes after the man was shot at, a black BMW X4 was found alight in Girraween.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and are hunting for those involved.
More to come.
