Three men have been charged with smuggling $185m in meth from Hong Kong

A 300kg haul of the drug ice worth $184 million has led to three men being arrested, with police alleging they sent the drugs inside an excavator.

Three men have been charged for allegedly importing $184 million of the drug ice into Sydney hidden inside a digger sent from Hong Kong.

An investigation between federal police and border force allegedly uncovered about 295kg of methamphetamine inside the excavator.

The men faced the Central Local Court yesterday and are expected to appear again on November 3 and December 15.

Last December five men were arrested after cops uncovered 450kg of MDMA hidden in an excavator imported into Australia from the UK.
