Two teenage boys have been charged after a third was left battered and bruised in an alleged robbery overnight.

A 17-year-old boy was sitting outside Doonside Railway Station at about 10:30pm on Tuesday when two boys unknown to him approached.

The pair allegedly demanded the boy hand over personal items, before punching him and threatening him with a large knife.

The two teens allegedly stole the boy’s mobile phone and headphones before fleeing the scene on foot.

The injured boy received treatment for cuts and bruising to his face.

Blacktown Police attended the scene and began inquiries, before two teenage boys aged 15 and 16 were found nearby on Eastern Rd, Blacktown a short time later.

They were arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station, where they were charged with aggravated robbery and inflict actual bodily harm.

The older boy was also charged with custody of a knife in a public place.

Both boys were refused bail and will appear at a children’s court on Wednesday.
