A teenager has miraculously survived a high-speed crash in Sydney’s northwest that left his Mazda split in half, with part of the wreckage ending up in a nearby front yard.

Police were called to the intersection of Old Northern Rd and Hill St in Baulkham Hills shortly before 7.15pm on Tuesday following reports of a crash.

Officers discovered the teenager’s vehicle had collided with another car, sending the rear half of the Mazda flying into neighbouring properties.

Despite the seriousness of the collision, the 18-year-old driver walked away from the scene unharmed.

He was later taken to Castle Hill Police Station, where he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.110.
