The father of an Alameddine crime clan associate has been charged with supplying drugs across Sydney in recent months.

Raymond Bayssari was arrested at his Fairfield home about 7am on Tuesday by Criminal Groups Squad officers working as part of Strike Force Newnham, who took him into custody over his alleged involvement in the drug supply ring.

NSW Police have since charged the 54-year-old with three counts of supplying a prohibited drug more than a commercial quantity, supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and supplying more than indictable amount of prohibited drugs.

The Daily Telegraph is not suggesting the Bayssari was in anyway linked to the Alameddine clan.
