Police are looking for witnesses or vision after a large brawl erupted at a local soccer match in southern Sydney on Saturday afternoon.

A local soccer match in southern Sydney took a dark turn when a large brawl erupted, prompting a search by police for witnesses or vision as investigations continue into the incident.

St George Police officers were called to Gannons Park after reports of up to 40 fans and players were fighting about 4.50pm on Saturday.

Police arrived at the park within minutes, but the crowd had already dispersed.

At this time, police received no reports of injuries or property damage.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who has mobile phone or dashcam vision relevant to the investigation have been called to contact St George Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
