A man told a magistrate to “f... off” when he was denied bail over a police pursuit in which he allegedly dragged a cop along a road in the posh Sydney suburb of Hunter’s Hill.

Police were trying to pull over Sean Matthews, 33, of Eastwood, when he allegedly crashed an Audi into another car before trying to drive off while the officer hung onto his vehicle on Gladesville Rd on Saturday night.

Officers allege Matthews then crashed again and struggled violently with two officers, who managed to arrest him.

He was taken into custody and charged with multiple offences, including assaulting a police officer in execution of their duty causing actual bodily harm.

Matthews, legally representing himself, pushed to be released on bail when he appeared in Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

He claimed to the court Saturday’s incident was a set up by police and that he had accidentally driven the wrong way.

“They’ve conjured up a story to put me in jail ... I would’ve just lost my licence and gone home,” he said.

“They attacked me when I got out of the car, I didn’t do anything wrong, I would’ve just lost my licence”.

Matthews also claimed that police have “had it in for (him) for ages”.

When asked why he should be considered for bail, Mr Matthews claimed that he has mental health problems, as well as “a lot going on with (his) family”.

But magistrate Estelle Ann Hawdon refused to release him, citing the seriousness of the police allegations as well as his previous record.

“Your record does not assist you,” she said.

“I accept that you say you have mental health concerns but, I’m sorry, given what are serious allegations, which include two police officers being hospitalised as a result of this, I have no option but to refuse you bail”.

Matthews replied: “Mate, show me the evidence, what am I going to jail for?” before telling Ms Hawdon to “f*** off”.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a driver ran away and left three teens in the wreckage of a stolen car following a two-vehicle crash in Mascot.

Police said the stolen Kia Cerato and a Honda Jazz collided on Southern Cross Dr, Mascot, just before 1am on Sunday.

Firefighters and police freed a 13-year-old boy, who had suffered serious injuries, from the smashed-in Kia before taking him to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick.

Two female passengers of the Kia, aged 12 and 13, were also taken to the same hospital to be monitored by doctors.

Police said the Kia’s driver had fled the scene and that they are yet to be found.

The Honda Jazz’s driver avoided any injuries.

Police said the Kia had been earlier stolen from an Alexandria address sometime on Saturday.
