A NSW police officer has been charged with three counts of assault for an alleged incident in Sydney’s west on Australia Day last year.
A 26-year-old man working for the Southwest Metro Region was the subject of an internal investigation into an incident on Smith St, Wentworthville, on Thursday January 26, 2023.
NSW Police said the officer’s employment status was under review as a result of the charges.
The officer was served a court attendance notice Monday to appear at Parramatta Local Court on June 13.
