A 47-year-old man working as a civilian employee for NSW Police has been hit with domestic violence charges in Sydney’s southwest.

Campbelltown police received reports of an alleged domestic violence incident on April 8.

Following an investigation into the incident, a 47-year-old civilian police employee was charged with common assault (domestic violence).

Police said the man is an “unsworn employee” working at Campbelltown Police Area Command, his employment status has been put under review following the alleged assault.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday April 16.
