Police charge four people over alleged Sydney-based drug syndicate accused of interstate meth supply
Four people have been charged following a police sting targeting a Sydney-based criminal syndicate allegedly involved in the interstate supply of methamphetamine and other illicit drugs.

Four people have been charged over their alleged roles in a Sydney-based criminal syndicate accused of supplying methamphetamine and other drugs across state lines.
The arrests follow an extensive investigation by detectives from Sydney’s east, who established Strike Force Cleveland in March to target the interstate trade of methamphetamine and GBL.
Strike force detectives — assisted by officers from Operation ODIN — arrested a 44-year-old man on New Canterbury Rd in Petersham shortly before 10am on Tuesday.
Police allegedly found $30,000 in cash inside his backpack and another $1,900 on his person.
The man was taken to Newtown Police Station where he was charged with 15 counts of supplying a prohibited drug, four counts of drug possession, participating in a criminal group, operating a drug premises and dealing with proceeds of crime.
Just after 2pm the same day, a 47-year-old woman was arrested at a unit on Old South Head Rd in Rose Bay.
Police executed a search warrant at the property and allegedly found small amounts of methamphetamine, GBL and cannabis.
She was taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with being found on a drug premises.
Later that afternoon, a 60-year-old man was arrested at a separate home on New Canterbury Rd.
Officers allegedly seized methamphetamine and electronic devices from the property.
He was charged with four counts of drug supply, four counts of dealing with proceeds of crime and drug possession.
Shortly after, detectives executed a search warrant at a Bondi Road home, where a 51-year-old man was arrested upon returning to the property. He was charged with 25 counts of drug supply, operating a drug premises and participating in a criminal group.
Police allege all three men played key roles in the coordination and supply of drugs as part of a broader syndicate operating out of Sydney.
The 44-year-old, 60-year-old, and 51-year-old men were refused bail and are due to appear in court today — at Downing Centre, Burwood and Waverley Local Courts respectively.
The 47-year-old woman was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on June 6.
Investigations under Strike Force Cleveland continue.
