One man dead, another injured after worksite electrocution incident in Engadine
A man has died after receiving an electric shock while working on a roof atop a butcher’s shop in Sydney’s south. Another man was injured as he went to the tradie’s aid.

A man has died and another has been injured after an electrocution incident on a worksite in Sydney’s south on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the Old Princes Highway in Engadine shortly before 11.40am following reports a person had been injured.
Police were told a man, aged in his 20s, was electrocuted as he worked on the roof of a butcher shop.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but despite their best efforts, he died at the scene.
A second man, aged in his 60s, was also injured when he rendered first aid to the victim.
He was also treated by paramedics at the scene.
SafeWork NSW have been notified.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
A local said the young man was fixing a cool room at a butcher shop in Engadine Arcade when the tragedy occurred.
“It was so sad,” she said. “He was a very nice young man.
“We saw the ambulance and fire brigade.”
The woman said the man had fixed her business’ fridge prior to Christmas.
