A man has been charged over anti-Semitic graffiti that was plastered over cars, garages and walls in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Strike Force Pearl officers arrested the 23-year-old about 6am on Wednesday, when they and police from the public order and riot squad searched a home on Soldander Rd in Daceyville.
His arrest followed an investigation into anti-Semitic graffiti in Kingsford and Randwick, where residents of See Lane and King Lane woke on February 2 to find damage that included the words “f--k Jews” painted on their property.
The man was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with two counts of destroying or damaging property in company.
He was refused bail to face Waverley Local Court later in the day.
Detectives from Strike Force Pearl, which was established to investigate anti-Semitic incidents, have now arrested 31 people and laid 153 charges.
