North Parramatta: Pedetrian, 24, struck by ute at Pennant Hills Rd
A young man is fighting for his life after a ute struck him as he was walking along one of Sydney’s busiest roads.

A pedestrian is in a critical condition after a ute struck him at North Parramatta on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to Pennant Hills Rd near Richie Benuad Oval just before 10.30am after reports the 24-year-old man was struck.
He suffered injuries to his head, leg and hip and was treated on the scene where a CareFlight helicopter landed at the oval.
NSW Ambulance paramedics worked alongside CareFlight’s critical care team to treat the patient at the scene, where police and firefighters were as well.
The man was driven to Westmead Hospital.
The 38-year-old driver of a Toyota Hilux was arrested and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
The northbound lanes of Pennant Hills Rd between Church and Castle streets were closed following the crash.
No charges have yet been laid.
