Buddle decided to pack up and get out of Australia in 2015, a decision that would have a big impact on the operations of the Comanchero.

It also had an impact on his long-term partner Mel Ter Wisscha.

Their relationship had been toxic before leaving Australia — including one incident a decade ago where Buddle threatened her with a knife.

But Ter Wisscha was looking happy in pictures posted to her private Facebook page this week.

A rare user of social media, the glamorous mother posed for a series of photos in bikinis and sundresses at D.Maris Bay Resort in Turkey, which can cost more than $11,000 per night.

In one of the pictures Ter Wisscha posted this week, she is wearing a sundress that belongs to her sister Amy’s newly launched Dubai-based fashion brand “Bella Rose Boutique”.

“Oh my gosh I’m so excited,” Ter Wisscha wrote on one of the brand’s new posts.

Senior NSW Police, who have long investigated Buddle in relation to his involvement in carrying out or funding several murders and major drug importations, said Ter Wisscha had not always been “so excited” about life overseas.

“She’s a Sydney girl, she has always hated it over there, we’ve known that for a long time,” one source said.

Buddle is a major feature of an ­exclusive four-part digital video series rolling out from tomorrow on The Daily Telegraph website.

Comanchero boss Mark Buddle continues to pull the strings in Sydney’s underworld despite living in Dubai since 2016.

Buddle and Ter Wisscha hail from Maroubra but set off from Essendon Airport in Victoria in a private jet in 2015 to begin a new life overseas.

That effort was temporarily halted when Customs officials found $60,000 in undeclared cash in their luggage at Newcastle Airport.

After Buddle spent eight weeks in jail, he and Ter Wisscha flew out in more conventional fashion for Dubai.

The luxury city was home to them and other members of the “Aussie Cartel” drug ring until last year, when they moved to Europe due to them drawing unwanted attention.

Turkey was the new chosen hiding spot of Buddle, despite spending time in North Cyprus.

Ter Wisscha’s latest post would indicate he remains in the area, although she often travels back to Sydney.
