Man fighting for life in hospital after motel bashing in Windsor

Police were called to a motel on George Street in Windsor shortly before 12.30am following reports a man was being assaulted in a motel room.

Police are working to establish a timeline of events before alleged an assault at a motel in North West Sydney, which left a man fighting for life.

Early on Tuesday, officers descended upon a motel in Sydney’s north west after an alleged assault left, with a number of police standing guard outside the Windsor Terrace Motel reception, while the motel itself appears still open for business.

But despite the horrific scenes on Monday night, residents on George St appear to be none the wiser.

One neighbour told this publication he had not seen or heard anything at the motel on Monday night, and first heard of the incident when a journalist came knocking.

Police at the scene said they could not comment on any details of the incident.

Officers arrived to find a 27-year-old man with severe head injuries. 

He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Westmead in a critical condition. 

A 53-year-old man has been taken to Windsor Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries. 

No charges have been laid.
