A woman arrested and charged with murder after police discovered her husband dead in a house in Sydney’s north west will remain behind bars on remand.
Nam Suk Back, 60, did not appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday after she was taken to Gladesville police station after her arrest in Epping on Saturday morning.
Police were called to the home on Damon Ave about 11am after calls reporting a concern for welfare at the property.
While he has yet to be identified, it is believed the man is the woman’s husband.
On Saturday evening, Back was charged with murder and she was initially refused police bail.
It was formally refused by Magistrate Chris McRobert on Sunday after her lawyer made no application for her client’s release.
The lawyer told the court she was seeking a “brief” two week adjournment given Back’s “vulnerabilities and dealings” she had with her client’s family.
Back’s matter will return to Burwood Local Court on July 3.
