A man has been charged after several vehicles were damaged in a chaotic incident in Sydney’s south on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to Kimpton St in Banksia about 3.15pm to reports of a man allegedly vandalising cars.

Another resident who lived closer to the alleged incident said she was “lucky” to be out of the house on Sunday afternoon because she feared her car would have been damaged if it was parked outside.

A 26-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident in Ferrier St in Rockdale and was taken to Kogarah Police Station.
