Man charged after allegedly detaining another man in Guildford while attacking him with a golf club and scissors
A man will face court after allegedly detaining another man against his will in a Western Sydney unit and assaulting him with a golf club and scissors. The ordeal came to an end when the alleged victim escaped and flagged down a car.

A man was seriously assaulted with a golf club and scissors while held captive by his alleged attacker for almost a day in a Western Sydney unit.
The horror ordeal came to an end when a 46-year old man managed to flee a unit, and flag down a passing motorist on a busy street.
The motorist called emergency services, from Rawson Rd in Guildford about 4.30pm on Sunday.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene for injuries consistent with an assault where he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
Shortly after Cumberland police officers arrested a 61-year-old man outside a residential housing complex along the same road.
He was taken to Granville Police Station.
Officers established a crime scene at a unit inside the complex which is the older man’s home.
Police will allege that the men – who are known to one another – entered the unit about 7pm on Saturday.
While at the unit an argument allegedly developed between the two.
The younger man was allegedly assaulted with a number of items including a pair of scissors and a golf club.
It will be further alleged he was prevented from leaving the premises before being able to flee the unit.
The older man has been charged with aggravated sex assault – inflict actual bodily harm on victim and take etc person intend commit serious indictable offence.
He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Monday.
