A teenager has been arrested after a luxury car was found smashed up and upside down in Sydney’s northwest.
About 2:10am on Thursday, emergency services were called out to Hebe Pl. near Tuscan Ave in Kellyville after receiving reports of a single-vehicle car crash.
Upon arrival, they found a vehicle had crashed through the fence of a home, flipped and landed on its roof.
The driver allegedly fled the scene prior to the arrival of police and could not be found on the premises.
Officers from The Hills Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident using help from the Dog Unit to search the surrounding area.
The vehicle was seized and inspected by police who found a number of items inside. They were also taken for further examination.
Following inquiries, police said officers attended a home in Glenhaven later that morning where a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital for assessment.
He was arrested for the purposes of mandatory testing and police have not alleged any offence.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
