An influencer known as ‘Torpedo Trish’ has admitted to blowing more than three times over the limit after police allegedly found her car flipped on its side in the middle of an eastern suburbs street.
Patricia Hadjia, 27, of Hillsdale, entered a guilty plea to high range drink driving via an email sent to Waverley Local Court on Wednesday after being arrested over the incident last October.
Neighbours said they rushed out to find Hadjia and a male companion, 29, pulling themselves from the upturned car.
“The standout moment for me was when the guy was still in there and he had his head out the window and he put a cigarette in his mouth,” one of the neighbours said.
Just hours earlier Hadjia had shared a photo to her 39,000 online followers of her at a friend’s wedding with a champagne glass in hand.
Hadjia, who is being legally represented by solicitor Eidan Havas, will be sentenced in Waverley Local Court on January 12.
Court documents state her legal team and prosecutors have not yet agreed on all the facts surrounding the incident.
According to her charge sheets, Hadjia had a blood-alcohol level of 0.181 – more than three times the legal limit – when police breath tested her.
Ms Hadjia – whose sister, singer Joelle Hadjia rose to fame after appearing on the X-Factor – works as a social media advisor, teaching people how to create successful accounts and become influencers.
