Terrified for his life, OneFour gang associate Mak Muon was being chased when his SUV slammed into a Western Sydney ditch. This is the inside story on how he died.

Shanks And Shivs

Terrified for his life, OneFour gang associate Mak Muon was being chased though the streets of Western Sydney when his SUV slammed into a ditch and he had nowhere to run.

The 22-year-old rapper had just taken part in a home invasion in Doonside and was trying to flee when he was allegedly stabbed to death in the Emu Plains park in September 2020.

One of his associates had earlier boasted they had successfully targeted 67 – a rival youth gang to OneFour.

Muon was later found with fatal stab wounds to his chest. A screwdriver was also recovered at the scene.

The full details of what happened to Muon can now be revealed after his associates — 27-year-old Jayde Kay and 24-year-old Greg Ambler — both pleaded guilty to hindering the police investigation into his death.

Muon allegedly fled Doonside after the home invasion and arrived at an Emu Plains granny flat with Ambler where Kay and his girlfriend were living, an agreed fact sheet for Kay’s court case states.

Ambler allegedly showed $50 and $100 notes to Kay, according to the document.

But soon after a car arrived outside and chased Muon and Ambler when they fled in the SUV. Ambler was behind the wheel.

Around this time Kay sent a social media message to an associate and wrote: “Lad Tommy scored a point against 67 I swear on my mum lad”.

Sixty-seven is a youth gang associated with Doonside. They are rivals to the Mount Druitt-based OneFour.

Kay then saw a pink phone on his girlfriend’s bed and said: “The pink one is probably from the house and that’s how they found out where we are”.

Kay asked an associate to dispose of the phone.

The girlfriend is not accused of any wrongdoing.

A few hours later a distraught Ambler returned to the granny flat and said: “Mak is dead. Mak is dead … we were getting chased through a field and they got Mak … they stabbed him and there is something metal stuck in him”.

Kay replied: “You can’t just leave him there, there will be kids there soon”.

While Kay had remained with his girlfriend, Ambler and Muon had unsuccessfully tried to flee in the SUV before it crashed into the ditch. Muon was then attacked at that location, the agreed facts state.

Kay went to the scene, filmed Muon’s body and said to someone: “See that there, by tonight, one of yo are gonna die you little f***s. Mark my words”.

Ambler has also pleaded guilty to aggravated breaking and entering.

Kay and Ambler will be sentenced at a later date.

Kay entered his guilty plea in October in Penrith Local Court, while Ambler entered his guilty pleas in the same court last month.

Three people have been charged with Muon’s actual alleged murder and remain before the courts.
