Human remains discovered believed to be missing Malaysian man ‘Jacky’ Chong Kai Wong

Human remains discovered during a police operation are believed to be of a missing Malaysian national.
Detectives investigating the disappearance and suspected murder of “Jacky” Chong Kai Wong located human remains at a rural property in Killongbutta, about 40km northwest of Bathurst at 3.30pm on Sunday.
While the remains are yet to be formally identified by police, they are believed to be the missing Malaysian national.
The remains will undergo forensic and DNA testing and further analysis.
In June 2021, detectives probed the suspected murder of ‘Jacky’ Chong Kai Wong while investigating a criminal syndicate involved in the manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs.
Mr Wong first went missing in 2020.
Three men – aged 33, 22 and 28 – were arrested and charged over their alleged involvement in the murder.
Police detectives have been searching the Killongbutta property since last Tuesday as part of ongoing investigations.
