Former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian has launched a legal challenge against the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption over its finding that she had engaged in serious corrupt conduct.

The matter has been listed for a 9am directions in the Court of Appeal on October 9.

In its report released in June, the corruption watchdog found Ms Berejiklian and her former lover - ex-Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire - had both engaged in serious corrupt conduct.

It found Ms Berejiklian engaged in serious corrupt conduct by breaching public trust in 2016 and 2017 through exercising her official functions in relation to projects being advocated by Mr Maguire without disclosing that she was in a “close personal relationship” with him.

These included funding for the Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA) and the Riverina Conservatorium of Music.

ICAC declared the failure to disclosure the relationship could have potentially influenced the performance of her public duty.

The corruption also found Ms Berejiklian engaged in corrupt conduct by failing to report suspicions that Maguire had engaged in corrupt conduct.
