‘F*cking kill her’: Bulldogs alleged love triangle triple-0 calls revealed in court

Triple-0 calls have been played to a court from the night former NRL player Michael Lichaa allegedly saw his fiancé engaging in an intimate act with old Bulldogs teammate Adam Elliott.

Ex-NRL star Michael Lichaa charged over alleged domestic violence incident

A court has heard former NRL player Michael Lichaa’s neighbours heard someone yell “in my own house” and “f*cking kill her” on the night he allegedly saw his fiancée Kara Childerhouse engaging in an intimate act with old Bulldogs teammate Adam Elliott.

Lawyers for Lichaa, 28, told Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday he would plead guilty to a charge of destroying or damaging property but would fight two other charges including common assault over the incident after a housewarming party in February 2021.

Police had alleged Lichaa had fallen asleep at the Connells Point home he had moved into with Ms Childerhouse, 26, before he woke up and saw her in the middle of the intimate act with Elliott, 27.

Lichaa allegedly assaulted Ms Childerhouse and punched a window, severely injuring his hand, according to police.

Neighbours called police who responded to what they described as a domestic incident and found Lichaa bleeding badly from a cut hand just before 5am.

Some of those triple-0 calls neighbours had made during the night were played to the court.

The court heard a neighbour told an operator they heard somebody shout “in my own house” while another said: “I can hear a man yelling at a woman … f*cking kill her”.

The court was also told one of the neighbours said: “I can hear a man shouting very, very loudly – there’s a lot of banging and smashing … I can hear things being thrown.”

The hearing was closed to reporters while Ms Childerhouse gave evidence on the incident remotely from another room in the courthouse as Lichaa watched on from the public gallery.

Ms Childerhouse – who has since split with Lichaa – has also provided a statement to police, the court heard.

Defence lawyer James Trevallion, acting on behalf of Lichaa, said Mr Elliott should be called as a witness during the hearing as he was an eye-witness to the alleged incident.

“Being the only eye-witness, in my submission, he should be called … I know the court doesn’t have the power to force the prosecution to call a witness,” Mr Trevallion said.

Mr Trevallion also said Ms Childerhouse’s mother had said on the night: “Yes, she’s okay but drunk … he said nothing happened and she said nothing happened.”

Lichaa was taken to St George Hospital and then transferred to Sydney Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

He had been released by the Bulldogs at the end of the 2019 season.

Elliott, who became embroiled in another incident earlier this year over a bathroom tryst with NRLW player Millie Boyle, was stood down by the Bulldogs and has signed a new but less lucrative deal with the Canberra Raiders.

He was escorted out of a Gold Coast restaurant when he was discovered in the men’s bathroom with Boyle.

They have since confirmed they are in a relationship.
