An elderly pedestrian has died after he was hit by a car while crossing a road in Sydney’s northwest.
Emergency services found the 82-year-old man dead when they arrived at the scene on North Rd at Ryde, having been called about 6pm on Monday.
The driver of the silver Toyota sedan involved in the incident - a 56-year-old man - was taken to Ryde Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
