Dural: Man and three teens charged after fleeing in stolen luxury car

A man and three teenagers have been charged after allegedly crashing into a traffic light when police deployed tyre spikes during a high-speed chase through Sydney’s northwest.

A man and three teenagers have been charged after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen luxury car worth over $110k through Sydney’s northwest.

Around 1am Saturday, police observed an Audi Q7 that was reported as stolen being driven southbound on Old Northern Rd, Dural and attempted to stop the car.

The driver allegedly failed to follow police direction and a pursuit was initiated along Pennant Hills Rd.

The luxury car was eventually stopped after crashing into a traffic light on James Ruse Dr in North Parramatta, after police deployed tyre spikes.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man at the scene, while the three teenage occupants fled on foot.

Officers launched an extensive search with the assistance of Polair and a dog squad, before locating and arresting three 17-year-old boys nearby.

The man and two 17-year-olds were taken to Parramatta police station, while the third teenager was taken to hospital for treatment for a previous medical condition.

Police charged a 22-year-old man with being carried in a car taken without consent from the owner and he was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.

The three teenagers were also charged with being carried in a car taken without consent from the owner, enter entering a restricted property without valid reason and breach of bail.

They were all refused bail, to appear at a Parramatta Children’s court on Saturday.
