Cassie Sue Crowder, one of 14 people arrested under the NSW Police Force's anti-Semitism busting gang Strike Force Pearl, was released from custody on bail by the NSW Supreme Court in May 2025. A 26-year-old woman arrested during a wave of police raids targeting anti-Semitic attacks across Sydney has been released on bail on drug supply charges.

Cassie Sue Crowder was one of 14 people taken into custody after officers attached to Strike Force Pearl executed multiple simultaneous search warrants in March this year following a string of alleged attacks on Jewish-aligned businesses and homes.

One of those arrested was former Nomads bikie Sayed Mohammed Moosawi, who denies allegations he is the mysterious “James Bond” on encrypted communication who directed arson attacks on two Bondi businesses in October.

The NSW Supreme Court heard Crowder came to the attention of police after she rented a Kia Stonic on January 6, which was later used by two people accused of smearing anti-Semitic graffiti on properties at Eastlakes and Eastgardens.

Crowder is not accused of playing a part in any of the anti-Semitic incidents, however she is facing a single charge of participating in a criminal group with the above two people.

Court documents state police will allege Crowder “provided access [to] and use of” the Kia to the pair “beyond its rental period without consent of the hire company”.

It is alleged the two people “took possession” of the Kia on January 8 – allegedly without Crowder’s consent – and used it to scope out the two properties before allegedly carrying out the attacks on January 30.

Meanwhile, court documents state Crowder was admitted to St George Hospital on the night of January 8 with reports she’d been involved in a car accident.

The court heard she made a report to police on January 16 that the Kia had been stolen, telling officers her memory was “foggy” because of the accident but that she recalled parking the car near the train station before attending the hospital.

“Investigators reasonably believe this is a false statement provided by Crowder to cover for [the two co-accused] taking carriage of the vehicle without her consent,” court documents state.

Tactical police raided Crowder’s parents’ home at Campbelltown on March 8, discovering a concoction of illegal prescription tablets including oxycodone, diazepam, valium, Endone and 8.6g of methamphetamine. the parents are not accused of any wrongdoing.

Crowder, who was not home at the time, was arrested outside Sutherland Courthouse two days later.

A search of her car allegedly uncovered more illegal drugs and restricted substances, along with resealable plastic bags and scales, which police claim is “indicative of drug supply”.

She was taken to the police station and charged with 11 offences including multiple counts of possessing a restricted substance, possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a trafficable quantity of a prohibited drug and participating in a criminal group that contributes to criminal activity.

Crowder was remanded in custody at the time but fronted the Supreme Court this week, seeking to be released on bail.

Defence solicitor Nicholas Digges said Crowder would agree to abide by a home detention condition and see her local GP for a mental health treatment plan if released.

He conceded Crowder had a serious drug problem and said she was working on securing a position in a rehabilitation and treatment program.

The court heard Crowder had no prior criminal record and could live with her parents, who continued to support her.

In granting bail, Justice Hament Dhanji said he had no doubt the time behind bars had been a “significant shock” to Crowder.

“I have no doubt that will have provided her with the realisation that she needs to do something in order to address her drug problem or she faces the reality of spending significantly more of her life in jail,” he said.

Justice Dhanji found the combination of strict bail conditions and supportive parents mitigated the risk Crowder posed of committing further offences on bail.

The case will return to court later this year. Crowder is yet to enter pleas to the charges.
