A Bondi Beach real estate agent was allegedly in the passenger seat of a car that was street racing moments before a fatal crash where two young brothers died.

Raquel Borg, 34, from Little Real Estate was charged last week with concealing a serious indictable offence after police alleged she witnessed the crash at Monterey, but didn’t stop or speak to police until she was arrested almost a month later.

Borg is not accused of causing the accident.

Police will allege Borg was a passenger in an Audi driven by Adam Yurun, 24, which they claim was caught on video street racing a Subaru driven by Jimmy Martin Brito, 33, on August 25.

Just before 10pm, Brito’s Subaru lost control on The Grand Pde and slammed into a pole, killing his nephews Peter Abreu, 9, and Xavier Abreu, 10.

Harrowing footage found on a mobile phone inside the wreckage revealed one of the boys had been taking videos of the alleged street racing.

Police say the vision, which at times showed the boys directing their uncle which lane to drive in, now forms a crucial part of their case in court, and allegedly helped police to track down Yurun and Borg.

According to a police statement of facts prepared for court the alleged street race began just after 9.30pm when Brito and Yurun met at ‘The Loop’ at La Perouse.

Closed-circuit TV from various points along the 19km trip to where the crash happened allegedly shows Brito’s Subaru and Yurun’s Audi repeatedly overtaking one another, and at times racing at speeds up to 130km/h in 60km/h zones.

“A video filmed inside the Subaru shows…As both vehicles exit the Sydney Airport Tunnel...the children inside the Subaru can be heard telling the driver, Jimmy Martin Brito which lane to travel in,” the facts state.

As both cars approach The Grand Pde at Brighton-Le-Sands, police allege the racing continued.

“The Subaru overtakes the Audi. The distinct sound of the Subaru revving its engine can be heard. The Audi continues in lane one, overtaking the Subaru...the Subaru immediately accelerates to a point where the front of the vehicles draw level,” facts state.

Police alleged in court that Brito was travelling at a minimum of 136km/h in a 60km/h zone before he smashed into the tree, shown in horror CCTV footage from a home nearby.
