A student police officer is facing two assault charges following an alleged incident where he slammed a door on a woman’s hand in Sydney’s north.

An aspiring police officer has been charged with two violence charges following an alleged assault in Sydney’s north.
Police received reports of an alleged domestic violence incident in Asquith around 6pm, leading them to charge the 28-year-old student officer.
The 28-year-old was charged with common assault (DV) and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police will allege in court the student cop prevented a woman from leaving a property and slammed a door on her hand.
The student police officer was granted conditional bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court on September 3.
NSW Police have advised the man’s offer to commence training has been revoked.
